Concerned spectators at a zoo in Pittsburgh watched on, as a panicked ostrich became trapped in a frozen pond. The animal made repeated attempts to swim its way out of trouble, but without success. Thankfully, the zoo’s employees were at hand to brave the icy water and eventually set it free. Credit: YouTube/Alex Beech

November Geese (short version)

A beautiful video has emerged from Saint-Sulpice, Canada, of a large flock of geese taking off over San Lorenzo river.

The footage, filmed earlier this year, shows the birds forming an incredibly aerodynamic formation.

According to report these birds remain in flocks year-round, except while nesting, and can cover 1,500 in 24 hours with favourable wind.
